Collection System Operator
The Collection Operators work with other operational & supervisory staff to ensure the sanitary sewer system operations and maintenance tasks are performed properly. This position also assists, as directed, with maintenance of district buildings and other assets. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm and is part of a scheduled on-call rotation. The position requires the selected candidate to possess a High School diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license as well as obtain an Ohio Class A Commercial Driver’s License with air brake and tanker endorsements and a Class I Collection Operator license, issued by the Ohio EPA.
We are committed to staff development and will provide training for the selected candidate to obtain the required Class I Collection System Operator license and CDL licensing. Individuals with a strong work ethic, enjoy a variety of work assignments, and are eager to learn are encouraged to apply, regardless of current CDL and Operator licensing status.
Logan County offers competitive pay with excellent benefits including vacation leave, sick leave, retirement benefits through Ohio Public Employee Retirement System (OPERS), and health insurance. Optional supplemental insurance and retirement options are also available. This full-time position is hourly (40hrs/week) with a pay range of $23.07/hr. to $29.94/hr. depending on experience and licensing.
The selected candidate must pass a criminal background check and drug test. All positions are subject to a probationary period of 12 months. All Logan County Sewer District employees must maintain a driving record acceptable to the county’s insurance carrier.
