The WWTP Plant Operator position operates and maintains multiple wastewater treatment plants within the Logan County Sewer District. While not required at time of hire, the selected candidate must possess or obtain an Ohio EPA Class I Wastewater Operator License within 24 months and a Class II Operator License within 48 months. Training will be provided to the selected candidate towards achieving the necessary licensing requirements.
Work hours are generally Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm with a weekend, holiday, and on-call rotation. Work generally involves monitoring treatment processes, calibrating monitoring equipment, collecting and analyzing samples to determine necessary process changes, maintenance of process equipment, and maintaining plant grounds and buildings. The selected candidate must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record, pass a criminal background check, and pass a drug screen. All positions are subject to a probationary period of 12 months.
